The Day Before is in big trouble, the Chinese surprise again, and World War 3 pre-orders go over $5 million and are back on sale again. About this and more in the indie results of October!
The Day Before
Zombie survivor The Day Before is losing the trust of fans! Yakut studio Fntastic seems to have fantastically played with the feelings of the audience.
Despite plans to release the game this year, the studio decided to remain almost completely silent. Only by September the developers announced a certain “Mega-event”, where they were going to reveal the approved release date.
After spending a month waiting, the fans were left with nothing, and the studio only laughed it off with a hashtag about “September 45th.”. As a result, after another half a month of waiting, we were shown only a three-minute trailer and a short video with a report from the developers, which, to put it mildly, does not correspond to expectations from mega-event.
The trailer showed the safe zone, looting, weapon customization and home improvement.
The release date was set for June 21, 2022, once again trolling fans.
The recent association of developers from Bad Pixel with tinyBuild is already bringing the first results of collaboration between the studios. On October 5th, Alex Nichiporchik, head of tinyBuild, shared some information from behind the scenes of Deadside development.
So, Alex talks about plans to expand the staff. Now a co-development team has been involved in evaluating the game code, as a result of which a new task plan will appear and additional staff will be recruited for it.
Alex noted the work on transport as particularly important, but also just as difficult. Implementing it in the near future is hampered by the current network code, which they also plan to work on. The key problem is in calculating collisions, and in theory, it would be much easier for the studio to start with aviation and water transport. You also need to think about the role of cars from a game design point of view.
On October 27th, Bad Pixel released the Deadside Halloween update, including themed weapon skins, a new point of interest in the location, adjustments to sniper rifles and several other fixes.
World War 3
World War 3 announced the next phase of closed testing!
The start of the CBT has been announced for November 25. This time even more players will be allowed to play the updated version of WW3. The closed beta will be available to everyone who purchases a paid pass on the game website. Prices start from 1190 rubles, ending at 22 thousand for a limited collector’s edition.
If you managed to pre-order WW3 before the game was discontinued, the studio will reward you with a special Veteran Pack, which is similar to the Lieutenant Pack, but also includes several unique bonuses.
And for a particularly sophisticated https://blackjack-ballroom-casino.co.uk/login/ gamer, the authors have prepared a “presidential” set in a single copy for. 5 million dollars or 370 million rubles! In return, the studio promises to make a film about the game with the owner of the pre-order in the title role, as well as create a location in the image of his hometown.
By the way, on the same day, the set was booked by an unknown gamer who made a first payment of 75 thousand rubles. But later the “President” pack reappeared in stock, and the booking price soared to 375,000 rubles.
Let me remind you that World War 3 was released into early access on October 19, 2018, selling more than 100 thousand copies in the first week. Later the project was curtailed and closed for processing. In 2020, the Mail division became the publisher of WW3.ru, now VK, – MY.GAMES.
Black One: Blood Brothers
The new tactical shooter Black One: Blood Brothers has entered an open pre-alpha test. Of course, it’s too early to talk about quality and ambitions. But the very idea of such a semi-RTS project, similar in its mechanics to the original Ghost Recon, today looks even more interesting than Ghost Recon itself. Especially in light of the latest announcements from Ubisoft.
You can try the game for free by requesting access to the play test on Steam.
Hunt: Showdown
Halloween event “Harvest” has started in Hunt: Showdown.
As part of the event, players will have to look for and collect pumpkins in locations, similar to previous events in the game. Harvest runs until November 9th.
Earlier this month, Hunt: Showdown was updated to version 1.6.2, having received multiple balance changes and bug fixes. A new revolver has appeared in the game – Scottfield Model 3, available from the first rank for 77 hunting dollars, and the matchmaking logic has also undergone changes.
And right now until the first of November there is a 50 percent discount on the game.
Caliber turns two years old! In the latest update, players can expect a set of gifts for the game’s second anniversary, a new legendary skin “Old School” for the Seal division, as well as many balance changes and bug fixes.
Here the studio announced a special holiday task that will appear in the game on November 3rd. As a reward for completing it, players will be given a special loot box with one operative to choose from: Afela, Eima, Miguel or Matador.
Bright Memory: Infinite
Chinese studio FYQD announced the release date of the shooter Bright Memory: Infinite. The game will be released on November 12th.
It is noteworthy that there is only one person at the origins of development, and at the same time the game looks no worse than its high-budget competitors.
And that’s not all. The author states that all those who managed to buy the first part of Bright Memory will receive Infinite for free at the time of its release.
Also, right now on Steam you can download the RTX benchmark of the game for free to check its performance on your RTX video card.
Hell let loose
Hell Let Loose expands audience! The hardcore shooter about World War II has become available for PlayStation 5 consoles with a PS Plus and Xbox Series X|S subscription. Also, the developers dedicated a separate trailer to this event.
The Cycle: Frontier
The free indie shooter The Cycle from the developers of Spec Ops The Line has entered closed beta testing, which will last until November 8.
The Cycle is a PvPvE first-person shooter that reimagines the classic battle royale genre and combines it with the familiar ideas of Escape from Tarkov and Hunt: Showdown.
